Fort Randolph robber frog Pristimatis gaigei

Fort Randolph robber frog

The colour pattern of this frog is thought to mimic the colour pattern of a species with toxic skin secretions (Phyllobates lugubris). The colouration of the harmless robber frog may prevent it being eaten by predators that have developed a negative association with these colours.
